Ollibean

Ollibean is a brand inspired by a beautifully gifted kid named Henry. Henry communicates using a tablet, but can't otherwise speak. His mom wanted to create a community where parents of kids with unique needs could come together and learn, share, and grow. The result was a brand that celebrated everything that makes us different and wonderful. It was part optimistic, part realistic, and 100% sincere.

It also taught me that I have a unique knack for talking to moms. We jive.

Brand Introduction Video

This was a video we did featuring children of varying needs to explain the architecture of the brand and reveal the tagline, "All Of A Kind." I really liked this tagline, and once we settled on it, the entire brand fell into place.

Web Elements

This project mainly came to life on the web. We treated the site as basically an extended brand manifesto, and it was an interesting project to realize when it finally came together. Sidenote: went to Nepal with the owner of the site and a coworker. It was kind of like Saved By The Bell: Malibu Sands, except in Nepal, and with a kindly sherpa instead of Mr. Carosi.

Welcome Message

Welcome Message

Part of the branding worked required distilling the messaging down into an overview welcome message.

I think it's an important guidepost of creating a brand to define what happens when it messes up.
